Job summary

AHMC Anaheim Regional Medical Center is seeking a registered nurse to provide safe, effective patient care in a dynamic acute care setting. You will direct PCA activity, assess patients, plan and implement care, document outcomes, and educate patients and families in coordination with MD orders.

The ideal candidate has CA RN licensure, BSN preferred, and holds ACLS/NRP/PALS certifications with basic computer skills to support documentation and care coordination.

Qualifications

• RN licensure in California required.
• Graduate of RN program; BSN preferred.
• ACLS, NRP, PALS, NIH and related certifications listed.
• One year acute care experience preferred.
• Basic computer skills required.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care in a safe and effective manner.
• Direct PCA activity and coordinate patient care.
• Assess patients, plan and implement care, document and evaluate.
• Teach patients and families; follow MD orders and treatment plans.
• Integrate patient care standards into all clinical activities and support performance improvement initiatives.

Job description

This position is responsible for providing patient care in a safe and effective manner.

Responsibilities include directing PCA activity, synthesizing patient information, assessment of patients, planning of care/intervention, teaching of patients/family, implementation of treatment plan, MD orders, documentation and evaluation. Integration of patient care standards are incorporated into all clinical activities.

This position requires the full understanding and active participation in fulfilling the mission of AHMC Anaheim Regional Medical Center. Education/Training/Experience

• Graduate of RN School of Nursing; BSN preferred.

One Year Acute Care Experience Preferred

Basic computer skills preferred.

LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS

• Current CA RN license
• Current BLS-HCP
• Current ACLS (Excludes NICU)
• Current NRP (Labor & Delivery / OB Acute / NICU)
• Current PALS (Emergency Dept. only)
• Basic Dysrhythmia Class completion Optional for RN with at least 6 months experience, and successful completion of EKG competency exam
• Unit specific certification
• Emergency PALS
• NIH Certification
• Management of Assaultive Behavior 2
• Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) preferred
• Emergency Nursing Course preferred
