Job summary

Northside Hospital, Inc. is seeking a Registered Professional Nurse to independently plan and provide professional nursing care to patients in accordance with physician orders and the Georgia Nurse Practice Act.

The RN will collaborate with the health care team, ensure patient safety, administer medications, monitor patient conditions, and document care plans in the medical record. GA licensed RN with BLS required; BSN preferred and experienced in acute care settings.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Licensed as an RN in Georgia in good standing without limitations.
• Must hold Certified in American Heart Association’s Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS).

Responsibilities

• Plan and provide professional nursing care to patients in accordance with physician orders and established guidelines.
• Adhere to the Georgia Nurse Practice Act and scope of practice while delivering nursing care.

Responsibilities

The Registered Professional Nurse at Northside Hospital independently plans and provides professional nursing care to patients in accordance with physician orders and established guidelines, and in accordance with the scope of practice as defined by the Georgia Nurse Practice Act.

Qualifications

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES, LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION REQUIRED:

• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Licensed as a RN in the State of Georgia in good standing without limitations.
• Must hold Certified in American Heart Association’s Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS).

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES/LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION PREFERRED:

• BSN degree
• Two (2) years of experience as a Registered Professional Nurse (RN).
• Additional Life Support credential (ACLS, PALS, NRP, etc.) or other clinical specialty certifications in specific units.
• Visual color acuity depending on the role in specific units.
