Job summary

Adena Health System in Chillicothe is seeking a Staff Nurse (RN) - Endoscopy to provide focused patient care within a collaborative team. This part-time role features 8-hour day shifts from 7:30 am to 4 pm and a 7 days/pay period schedule to support patient flow in the Endoscopy unit.

The position includes a rotating call schedule—about one weekday every three weeks and one weekend every three months—enabling clinical impact and pace adjustment for the team.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• RN licensure in Ohio.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required; ACLS/PALS strongly preferred or required per unit policy.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care in the Endoscopy unit and implement the patient care plan.
• Collaborate with the care team, physicians, and patients/families to achieve optimal outcomes.

Position Highlights

• Position: Registered Nurse (RN) - Endoscopy
• Salary: Hourly rate based on years of nursing experience/education
• Work Life Balance: Part-time, 7 days/pay period. 8 hour shifts, 730am - 4pm.

What You’ll Do

The Staff Nurse, RN provides professional nursing care through the application of nursing skills and processes to develop, implement, and evaluate patient’s plan of care; while creating an atmosphere that supports our vision: To be our regions’ most trusted partner in healthcare. The Staff Nurse, RN as the primary care giver provides direct patient care and works collaboratively with other care team members, the physician and the patient/family to achieve optimal patient outcomes. The incumbent has access to confidential patient information and makes decisions independently and in collaboration with others. The Staff Nurse, RN works under the direct supervision of the Nurse Manager and under the indirect supervision of the Director of Nursing.

• Minimum/Required Qualifications
• Graduate of an accredited program in Nursing. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required within five (5) years from the date of hire.
• Registered Nurse with current Ohio license
• Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
