Fairfield Medical Center in Lancaster, OH, is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Emergency Dept. The RN will assess, plan, implement, evaluate and supervise patient care using the nursing process, with emphasis on family-centered care and safe medication administration.

Responsibilities include patient education, thorough documentation, collaboration with physicians and team members, and adherence to FMC policies.

Formación

• Completion of an accredited nursing program, resulting in one of the following:
• Diploma in Nursing
• Associate's Degree in NursingBachelor's Degree in Nursing
• Valid license to practice in the State of Ohio.
• CPR required.
• Previous nursing experience preferred.
• Physical exertion requirements: able to move 50 to 100 pounds occasionally and/or 25 to 50 pounds frequently, etc.

• Provides education for the patient and family/significant other from admission through discharge process.
• Provides thorough, concise, accurate and legible documentation of the nursing process.

• Administers medications and performs treatments in an accurate safe manner.
• Ensures clinic processes and workflows comply with FMC policies and procedures.
• Ensures equipment and supplies are readily available for patient care, reporting malfunctions to proper department.

Physical demand requirements are in excess of those for Medium Work. Position may require frequent patient handling activity.
