Nationwide Children\'s Hospital is seeking experienced RNs for day or night shifts in the Cardiac Step-down Unit in Columbus, OH. The role emphasizes safety, family-centered care, and collaboration with LPNs, PCAs, and support staff.

Applicants must have Ohio RN licensure, BSN or ADN with commitment to BSN within 5 years, and CPR; additional certifications may be required. 30 hours weekly with weekend options.

Overview:

*Looking for Experienced RNs*

Day shift or night shift weekend option. 30 hours/week

Day shift: Friday, Saturday, Sunday one week-** Saturday Sunday next week.**

Night shift: Friday, Saturday, Sunday one week-** Saturday Sunday next week.**

In the Cardiac Step-down Unit, we treat patients of all ages. We specialize in treating both surgically and medically, those patients with congenital heart defects. We also provide medical cardiac management for children and adolescents with heart and vasculature related disease, as well as perform heart, lung, and heart/lung transplants.

• 24 beds
• On most days, approximately 75% of our population is under the age of six months.
• We are looking for detail-oriented team members who can handle a fast-paced environment.

Job Description Summary:

Assists patients to move rapidly, uneventfully, and as effectively as possible through their episode of care while maintaining quality and safety as a priority. Delegates, directs, oversees and provides developmentally appropriate patient care. Practices professional nursing and promotes patient advocacy in accordance with the ANA Code of Ethics for Nurses and maintains a current Ohio Nursing License.

Education Requirement:

BSN or Associate degree with commitment to obtain BSN within 5 years of hire, required.

Licensure Requirement:

Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Ohio.

Certifications:

• Current CPR certification required.
• Must be willing to obtain and maintain NRP, PALS, ACLS, APHON or other necessary certification as determined by your manager based on business unit.
