Job summary

OhioHealth is seeking a Registered Nurse for PACU – Bone and Joint to provide general nursing care across the health-illness continuum in a fast-paced surgical setting. You will collaborate with the health care team and be accountable to the Ohio Board of Nursing.

The role supports a Day shift with a 32-hour schedule, reinforcing patient safety, continuous improvement, and patient-family education as part of a high reliability organization.

Qualifications

• RN with active Ohio nursing license and BLS certification
• Associate's Degree (Required) in Nursing
• Strong teamwork and patient-care focus

• Assess patient health status and document findings throughout the shift.
• Develop and update care plans to meet patient needs.

Job Description Summary

This position provides general nursing care to patients and families along the health illness continuum in diverse health care settings while collaborating with the health care team. He/She is accountable for the practice of nursing as defined by the Ohio Board of Nursing.

Responsibilities And Duties

• 30% Assessment/Diagnosis Performs initial, ongoing, and functional health status assessment as applicable to the population and or individual.
• 30% Outcomes Identification/Planning Based on nursing diagnoses and collaborative problems, documents planned nursing interventions to achieve outcomes appropriate to patient needs.
• 20% Implementation/Evaluation Evaluates and documents response to nursing interventions and achievement of outcomes at appropriately determined intervals; as part of a multidisciplinary team, revises plan of care based on evaluative data.
• 10% Leadership Actively participates in process improvement activities to achieve targeted measures of clinical quality, customer satisfaction, and financial performance.
