Job summary

Northside Hospital in Atlanta is seeking an Admit Recovery Unit RN to support pre-procedure preparation and post-procedure recovery for invasive cardiology patients. This role works in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment with a focus on patient safety.

The position is Monday-Friday, 3x12 hour day shifts, with late stay rotation, no weekends, holidays, or on-call. Requires Georgia RN license and BLS certification; BSN preferred and 2+ years of RN experience in cardiology.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Licensed as an RN in the State of Georgia in good standing.
• Must hold BLS certification from American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Pre-procedure preparation for invasive Cardiology patients.
• Post-procedure recovery and monitoring in Admit Recovery Unit (ARU).
• Provide patient, family and physician communication and care coordination.

The Cardiovascular (ARU) RN plays a pivotal role in patient care, acting as a bridge between doctors, patients and families.

The Admit Recovery Unit RN is part of a supportive, collaborative team that provides superior patient care, in a highly skilled, fast paced environment. The ARU RN is responsibile for pre-procedure preparation and post-procedure recovery of invasive cardiology patients, receiving clinically advanced, lifesaving cardiac cath and electrophysiology procedures.

This role is Monday-Friday, 3x12 hour day shift, with a late stay rotation; no weekends, no holidays, and no call.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES, LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION REQUIRED:

1. Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing
2. Licensed as a RN in the State of Georgia in good standing without limitations.
3. Must hold Certified in American Heart Association's Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS).

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES/LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION PREFERRED:

1. BSN degree
2. Two (2) years of experience as a Registered Professional Nurse (RN).
3. Additional Life Support credential (ACLS, PALS, NRP, etc.) or other clinical specialty certifications in specific units.
4. Visual color acuity depending on the role in specific units.
