Job summary

AHMC Anaheim Regional Medical Center in Anaheim, CA is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide patient care safely and effectively. The role includes directing PCA activity, assessing patients, planning and implementing care, teaching patients and families, and documenting outcomes.

Required are a CA RN license, BLS, ACLS, NRP, PALS, and strong computer skills; BSN preferred and acute care experience preferred.

Qualifications

• RN license (CA) required or eligible
• BSN preferred or higher degree
• Acute care experience preferred (1 year)
• Basic computer skills and as-needed certifications (BLS/ACLS/NRP/PALS) preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care in a safe and effective manner.
• Direct PCA activity and synthesize patient information to plan interventions.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care per MD orders and hospital standards.
• Documentation of care and participation in performance improvement activities.

Job description

Responsibilities

This position is responsible for providing patient care in a safe and effective manner. Responsibilities include directing PCA activity, synthesizing patient information, assessment of patients, planning of care/intervention, teaching of patients/family, implementation of treatment plan, MD orders, documentation and evaluation. Integration of patient care standards are incorporated into all clinical activities.

Education / Training / Experience

• Graduate of RN School of Nursing; BSN preferred.
• One Year Acute Care Experience Preferred.
• Basic computer skills preferred.

Licenses / Certifications

• Current CA RN license
• Current BLS-HCP
• Current ACLS (Excludes NICU)
• Current NRP (Labor & Delivery / OB Acute / NICU)
• Current PALS (Emergency Dept. only)
• Basic Dysrhythmia Class completion Optional for RN with at least 6 months experience, and successful completion of EKG competency exam
• Unit specific certification
• Emergency PALS
• NIH Certification
• Management of Assaultive Behavior 2
• Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) preferred
• Emergency Nursing Course preferred
