Job summary

CesiumAstro in Austin, TX is seeking a Staff RF Engineer to lead board-level RF electronics design for space-grade hardware, including phased array front-ends, frequency converters, and synthesizers.

You will own RF circuits through all phases from concept to testing, perform schematic capture and PCB layout, and present design reviews to customers and executives. Strong communication is essential.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university.
• 8+ years of RF design, analysis, testing, and troubleshooting.
• Experience with CST, ADS, and Altium.
• Hands-on with VNA, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, and oscilloscopes.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Lead RF circuits and systems through all development phases.
• Perform board-level schematic design and PCB layout for RF circuits.
• Evaluate link budgets, modulation schemes, and phased array concepts.
• Present design reviews to customers and executives; contribute to proposals.
