Job summary

DataJobs is seeking a Staff Research Data Scientist to support Google Search Ads within the Ads Metrics Data Science team. You will collaborate with stakeholders to frame questions, develop analysis plans, and guide product insights through experiments and modeling.

You will own end-to-end data workflows, use SQL, R, and Python to gather, validate, and analyze data, and apply advanced statistical methods to inform product decisions.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Statistics, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Economics, OR related quantitative field.
• 8 years of analytics experience with coding (Python/R/SQL) or 6 years with a PhD.

Responsibilities

• Frame measurable questions with stakeholders and translate them into tractable analyses, metrics, or models.
• Design and evaluate mathematical models to solve problems with limited precedent.
• Own end-to-end data workflow: gather, extract, and compile data from multiple sources using SQL, R, and Python.
