Job summary

ICON is seeking a Staff Reliability Engineer to steer reliability for our Vulcan and Titan print systems in Austin, TX. You’ll diagnose failure patterns, shape preventive maintenance, and be the go-to expert on reliability across hardware, data, and operations.

You’ll lead RCAs, define condition-based monitoring, maintain fleet metrics in Contour, mentor field teams, and partner with Sustaining, Field, and Product Engineering to raise quality and scale manufacturing.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in Reliability, Manufacturing, or Quality Engineering.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related field.

Responsibilities

• Analyze fleet failure data to refine maintenance schedules and tracking.
• Define condition-based monitoring with Controls and Software teams.
• Maintain fleet reliability metrics and dashboards (OEE, MTBF, MTTR).
• Coordinate data capture and ensure data accessibility for analysis.
• Lead RCAs and feed findings into PM programs.
• Lead reliability reviews with Sustaining and Product Engineering.
• Develop test protocols for ECO and upgrade acceptance.
• Validate ECO changes in the field before deployment.
• Provide guidance to Field Engineering on troubleshooting standards.
• Mentor Reliability and Field Engineers to raise practice quality.
