Job summary

ICON Technology is seeking a Staff Reliability Engineer to act as the reliability expert for our Vulcan and Titan print systems. You will diagnose failure patterns and lead preventive and predictive maintenance initiatives, shaping how RCAs are conducted and driving reliability standards across the organization.

You will work at the intersection of hardware, data, and operations, mentoring field and engineering teams, collaborating with Sustaining, Field, and Product Engineering, and ensuring

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in Reliability, Manufacturing, or Quality Engineering with standards adopted across an organization.
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related field; equivalent experience.
• Hands-on experience with complex automated manufacturing or industrial-scale machinery and sensor systems.
• Proven experience designing PM and FMEA programs on complex equipment used as standard practice.
• Experience with data pipelining and analytics; ability to build reporting systems that drive decisions across teams.
• Demonstrated ability to mentor engineers and set technical direction across functions.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; will lead SOP development and engineering leadership communications.

Responsibilities

• Analyze fleet failure history and field data to identify gaps in preventive maintenance and develop improved schedules and tracking.
• Identify leading indicators of failure and define condition-based monitoring strategies with Controls and Software teams.
• Maintain reliability metrics and dashboards across the fleet in Contour and related platforms.
• Define requirements for new data capture and ensure data is structured for analysis and reporting.
• Serve as SME of predictive maintenance methodology and drive framework iterations with leadership.
• Lead RCAs for significant failures and feed findings back into PM programs and design.
• Lead reliability reviews with Sustaining and Product Engineering and drive cross-team alignment.
• Develop test protocols for ECO and upgrade acceptance and validate changes before deployment.
• Provide guidance to Field Engineering on troubleshooting and escalation criteria across sites.
• Mentor Reliability and Field Engineers to raise practice quality org-wide.
