UW Health in Madison, WI is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) in Med Surg for an ongoing Staff position. The unit on East Madison Hospital offers a 27-bed medical/surgical environment with Magnet designation and a 12-hour evening/night shift schedule, including weekend/holiday rotation.

You will join a collaborative interdisciplinary team delivering high-quality patient care while participating in quality improvement initiatives and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred.
• Licensed Registered Nurse in Wisconsin or a Compact state is required.
• Six months inpatient nursing experience or current Nurse Residency completion required.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced Med Surg unit.
• Care for general medical and surgical patients on a 27-bed unit.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
• Contribute to development, execution and evaluation of the care plan.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) Preferred

Work Experience

Inpatient Units:Six (6) months nursing experience or current participant in UW Health’s Nurse Residency Program with successful completion of the Nurse Residency Orientation on unit/similar unit. Required

Relevant RN Experience Preferred

Licenses & Certifications

Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of WI or holds a license issued by a jurisdiction that has adopted the nurse licensure compact Required

Current CPR/BLS Certification Required

Relevant Certification Preferred
