Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
  • Six months nursing experience or current participation in UW Health Nurse Residency with successful completion.
  • Licensed Registered Nurse in WI or in a compact state; CPR/BLS certification; relevant certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced med/surg unit.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to develop and evaluate plan of care.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and practice changes.
  • Support a Magnet-designated hospital environment with evidence-based practice.

The 5th floor Inpatient unit is a fast-paced, 27-bed medical surgical general care unit that offers rewarding nursing opportunities at a Magnet designated hospital.

We are seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to:

  • Help provide high-quality, patient-centered care in a professional environment that fosters and values collaboration, respect, and diversity.
  • Join a team of remarkable nurses and have the opportunity to care for general care patients with a wide variety of medical and surgical diagnoses.

  • Collaborate in the development, execution and evaluation of the multidisciplinary plan of care.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) Preferred

Work Experience

  • Six (6) months nursing experience or current participant in UW Health's Nurse Residency Program with successful completion of the Nurse Residency Orientation on unit/similar unit. Required
  • Relevant RN Experience Preferred

Licenses & Certifications

  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of WI or holds a license issued by a jurisdiction that has adopted the nurse licensure compact Required
  • Current CPR/BLS Certification Required
  • Relevant Certification Preferred
