Job summary

Colquitt Regional Medical Center is seeking exceptional Registered Nurses to care for our patients and facilitate their speedy recovery. You will deliver safe and compassionate nursing care, evaluate responses to treatment, and advocate for patients’ needs, educating them and their families on health and wellness.

The ideal candidate will be responsible and well-trained, able to provide high-quality care autonomously.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing.
• Knowledge of GA Nurse Practice Act and Joint Commission Standards.
• Current Georgia license as a registered nurse. ACLS and PALS required.

Responsibilities

• Monitor patient’s condition and assess needs to provide best care.
• Observe and interpret symptoms and communicate to physicians.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team for individualized care plans.
• Perform routine procedures and document in the electronic record.
• Administer medications and provide treatments per orders and scope of practice.
• Maintain hygiene and safety in the facilities and prepare beds.
• Provide urgent medical care in emergencies and assist surgeons during operations.
• Supervise and train LPNs and nursing assistants.
• Foster compassionate environment and educate patients and families.
• Attend educational workshops and conferences to expand knowledge.

You will be responsible for delivering safe and effective nursing care with utmost compassion, evaluating response to treatment and advocating for patient’s needs, and educating them and their families on health and wellness. The ideal candidate will be a responsible and well-trained professional able to give the best nursing care autonomously.

Responsibilities

• Monitor patient’s condition and assess their needs to provide the best possible care and advice
• Observe and interpret patient’s symptoms and communicate them to physicians and other providers
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to devise individualized care plans for patients
• Perform routine procedures (blood pressure measurements, administering injections etc.) and document in the electronic record
• Administer patient’s medication and provide treatments according to physician’s orders and according to scope of practice
• Inspect the facilities and act to maintain excellent hygiene and safety (decontaminating equipment, sanitizing surfaces, preparing beds etc.)
• Provide instant medical care in emergencies
• Assist surgeons during operations
• Supervise and train LPNs and nursing assistants
• Foster a supportive and compassionate environment to care for patients and their families
• Expand knowledge and capabilities by attending educational workshops, conferences etc.

Job Requirements
