Job summary

Delek Us Holdings seeks a Staff Refinery Operations Specialist at its Big Spring, TX refinery to oversee unit operations as SME and drive safe, efficient production.

You will set longer-term capacity targets with E&P, optimize units, identify capital projects, and lead turnaround planning. You will supervise shift activities and help develop procedures and training materials.

Qualifications

• Eight or more years of experience in a related field (required).
• Refining industry experience preferred.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• No licensure or certification required.

Responsibilities

• Serves as the SME for unit operations.
• Responsible for longer-term capacity of their area, including working with E&P to set MOP and production targets, unit optimizing, identifying capital project opportunities, and turnaround planning and execution.
• Provide escalation path for the shift team, and if needed manage, supervise, direct, and lead the day-to-day activities of team within assigned area to ensure safe and quality production and meet identified goals.
• Assists OMC in setting maintenance priorities.
• Manages the process for developing, editing, approving, and certifying procedures.
• Working with the Technical Trainer, develops and tracks training and qualification materials and plans.
• Implements Operations Excellence initiatives for their units.

Education and Experience

• Eight (8) or more years’ Experience in a related field (Required).
• Refining Industry experience (Preferred).
• 4-year/Bachelor's Degree (Preferred).
• In lieu of the above education requirements, an equivalent combination of experience may be considered.
• No Licensure or Certification Required.
