Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Permanent Staff R&D Engineer in Irvine, CA to design, develop, and validate cutting-edge medical devices. You will lead projects, manage DHF, apply GD&T, VOC, and risk management while collaborating with a fast-paced engineering team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field required; advanced degree preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar engineering role.
• Proficiency with DFM, GD&T, Design controls, risk management, validation, and root cause analysis.
• Experience leading complex projects from concept to completion.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and development of innovative products using DFM, AutoCAD, and machine design.
• Develop and manage DHF for new products.
• Conduct VOC research to understand customer needs.
• Apply GD&T in design and prototyping.
• Implement design controls and risk management throughout development.
• Perform root cause analysis and drive corrective actions.
• Execute product validation activities to meet quality and performance standards.
• Manage project timelines and resources with MS Project.
• Use Minitab for statistical analysis in support of design and validation.
