Job summary

Medical Devices Company in Irvine, CA seeks a Product Development Engineer for a 12‑month contract on W2. The role requires 0–3 years in engineering, preferably in medical devices, with a BS in engineering. The candidate will provide technical support across design, development, quality, and manufacturing while driving cost improvements and product robustness.

First shift, 40 hours/week, 12 months, on-site in Irvine. Must be US citizen or GC holder or eligible/OPT/EAD/CPT. Pay rate is $40/hr.

Qualifications

• BS degree in engineering is required.
• 0-3 years of engineering experience, preferably in medical devices.
• Demonstrated ability to utilize statistical tools and computer analysis.

Responsibilities

• Provide solid technical skill and engineering support for design and development activities.
• Support current products in terms of quality, manufacturing, supply continuity and cost improvement.
• Participate in executing technical and/or cross-functional project work; contribute to innovation for new products.
• Translate customer needs into engineering requirements for product, packaging and process specs.
• Engineer robust and manufacturable products through fundamental engineering concepts.
• Develop and execute test methods with measurement setups and data analysis.
• Write detailed technical reports based on design verification analyses/tests.
• Ensure compliance with client quality policies and safety regulations.
