Job summary

Shield AI is building advanced autonomous aircraft and seeks a Staff Quality Engineer to assure performance, reliability, and safety across the product lifecycle. You will lead quality initiatives, develop robust QA systems aligned with AS9100, and partner with engineering, manufacturing, and suppliers to drive improvements, NPI support, control plans, and data-driven manufacturing metrics.

Mentor teammates and influence cross-functional decisions while hands-on with aerospace tech and scalable

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in engineering or related technical field.
5+ years in quality, manufacturing, or process engineering roles.
Experience leading RCA/CAPA activities and CAPA effectiveness.
Knowledge of AS9100 or similar quality standards.
Experience supporting NPI and production scaling.

Responsibilities

Lead quality initiatives across product lifecycle from design to production.
Develop and maintain robust quality systems aligned with AS9100.
Drive root cause investigations and implement corrective actions.
Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and suppliers to improve process capability.
Mentor team members and influence cross-functional decisions.
