Job summary

Tatari is hiring a Staff QA Engineer to elevate automated testing across the buying platform and adjacent services. You will own the end-to-end test strategy and shape the automation framework with leadership, working closely with engineering and product teams.

You will mentor engineers, write robust tests in Playwright and Python, and help drive quality across releases. This hybrid role is based in Los Angeles with in-office days and strong benefits.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in QA automation or SDET roles.
• Experience building and scaling test automation frameworks.
• Strong knowledge of TypeScript, Python, and SQL.
• Experience with Playwright, Cypress, or Selenium.
• Strong communication and mentoring skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain Tatari’s E2E test automation framework in Playwright.
• Set the technical direction for test automation and create reference code and docs.
• Write and improve unit and integration tests across the stack (TypeScript/Python).
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and fix flaky tests.
• Build tooling for data validation and backend verification.
• Do hands-on exploratory testing on high-risk workflows.
• Act as the senior technical voice for QA and provide risk assessments.
• Mentor engineers, pair program, and contribute to QA docs.
• Participate in technical interviews for QA candidates.
