Qualifications

• Doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology from an accredited program.
• Completion of an accredited predoctoral internship and postdoctoral training in clinical psychology.
• Licensed as a psychologist in the State of Connecticut.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct clinical care, including individual and group psychotherapy, to adults facing mental health and diagnostic challenges.
• Divide clinical time between Steward Residential and Steward Outpatient, maintaining a consistent presence in both settings.
• Conduct diagnostic evaluations and psychological testing and ensure timely multidisciplinary assessments and recommendations.
• Develop and deliver group psychotherapy aligned with the Steward Outpatient curriculum, including MBT, CBT, and family systems-informed groups.
• Facilitate communication among team members, patients, and families, and engage support systems through family meetings and aftercare planning.
• Conduct risk assessments and provide crisis intervention, including level-of-care determination and safety planning.
• Coordinate care with outside providers and participate in rounds, case conferences, and treatment team meetings.
• Support patients across hospital areas and maintain timely clinical documentation in compliance with policies.
