Job summary

U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs in Memphis, TN is seeking a Staff Psychologist (GS-13) to provide comprehensive psychological services within the VA Medical Center. The role includes assessment, diagnosis, and evidence‑based therapy, with opportunities to contribute to clinical programs and quality improvement.

Telework is not available; standard schedule is Monday–Friday, 8:00am–4:30pm. EDRP eligibility may apply and relocation incentives may be authorized for highly qualified candidates.

Qualifications

• Must have doctoral degree in psychology from an APA/PCSAS/CPA-accredited program.
• Must hold full, current, unrestricted psychologist license in the US.
• Board certification or eligibility per VA standards.
• Experience with professional psychology treatments and supervision is expected.
• Ability to provide education and consultation to clinical staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide full range of psychological assessment services.
• Deliver evidence-based psychotherapies (individual, family, group).
• Develop, implement, and document treatment plans for assigned caseload.
• Provide consultation to VA Medical Center staff and community providers.
• Ensure compliance with CPRS documentation and performance measures.
• Participate in administrative and team meetings.
• Contribute to program development and quality improvement initiatives.
• Perform duties with professional independence and clinical privileges.
