The Department of Neurology & Rehabilitation Medicine - Division of Neuropsychology & Medical Psychology at the University of Cincinnati is seeking an adult Clinical Neuropsychologist to join our growing and collegial department. We currently have 77 faculty members, including 6 neuropsychologists and rehabilitation psychologists. Many opportunities exist for professional consultation and collaboration within our active Psychology Division.

The Department provides specialized care for people with stroke, epilepsy, Parkinson's disease and other movement disorders, multiple sclerosis, Alzheimer's disease and related cognitive disorders, neuromuscular disease (such as ALS and muscular dystrophies), musculoskeletal disorders, traumatic brain injury, spinal cord injury, and headache, as well as other neurologic disorders.

Essential Functions
  • Provide comprehensive neuropsychological evaluations to a general adult population with a wide variety of cognitive disorders.
  • Work closely with a psychometrist in the administration and scoring of test data.
  • Offer feedback on assessment results and recommendations to the patient and family.
  • Consultation with the multidisciplinary treatment team will also be expected.
  • Opportunities to develop specialty interests in neurotrama, rehabilitation, epilepsy, MS, memory disorders, movement, etc.
  • Collaboration on research projects with Neurology and PM&R faculty and other scholarly pursuits are encouraged.
  • Opportunities for teaching and supervision are also available.
  • Provide psychological assessment, diagnosis, consultation, intervention, and related psychological services to patients and families.
  • Apply and supervise the application of psychological procedures and techniques in evaluating, diagnosing, and treating psychological disorders.
  • Function as member of interdisciplinary treatment team.
  • Provide education and support regarding psychosocial and behavioral issues to medical school faculty, attending physicians, nursing staff, residents, interns, medical students, and other trainees.
  • Participate in regular supervision meetings, staff meetings, and Clinical Training Seminar meetings.
  • Fulfill medical records, billing, HIPAA, and other administrative requirements associated with patient care.
  • May provide direct and/or indirect supervision to exempt and non-exempt staff (i.e., hiring/firing, performance evaluations, disciplinary action, approve time off, etc.).
  • Perform related duties based on departmental need. This job description can be changed at any time.
Required Education

Ph.D. or Psy.D. in Psychology.

Required Trainings/Certifications
  • Licensed in the State of Ohio.
  • Board certification/eligibility in Neuropsychology.
Required Experience
  • Doctoral degree from an APA-accredited program in Clinical or Counseling Psychology.
  • Two-years of supervised post-doctoral training in Clinical Neuropsychology.
  • ABPP or ABPP-eligible.
  • Licensed as a Psychologist in the state of Ohio.
