Job summary

Comtech Telecommunications Corp. in Chandler, AZ is seeking a Staff Project Engineer to own the technical execution plan for complex software, FPGA, hardware, and manufacturing transition programs from concept through release to production.

You will partner with Software, FPGA and Hardware leads to translate architecture into actionable tasks, manage risk, and drive schedule health using a blend of plan-driven and Agile practices.

Qualifications

• Experience driving complex, multi-disciplinary programs to schedule with ambiguity.
• Strong technical background to evaluate estimates and risks.
• Ability to influence senior peers and lead without direct authority.
• Experience with contract-driven programs and hybrid processes.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain integrated program schedules across software, FPGA, hardware, and manufacturing workstreams.
• Identify cross-team dependencies and manage risks and issues.
• Own risk/issue registers and drive mitigation plans.
• Translate architecture decisions into actionable tasks and milestones.
• Report status and forecast to leadership on a regular cadence.
• Develop lightweight automation and dashboards to accelerate tracking.
