Job summary

Supermicro is seeking a dynamic Program Manager to provide leadership, oversight to drive, coordinate, and monitor engineering programs including scheduling, planning, product and project cost analysis, early access, and first customer shipment. This role will be heavily involved in leading the cross-functional teams from sales, productions, and purchasing.

You must have exceptional project management and communication skills to succeed in this role.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, industrial engineering, computer science, or business administration.
  • Minimum 12 years of experience in the computer/server industry.
  • Experience with contract manufacturing, product development, project management, quality control, and/or procurement support; SAP ERP knowledge preferred.
  • Proven track record of managing projects and delivering on time.
  • Ability to coordinate efficiently with cross-functional teams including Engineering, Sales, Operations, Purchasing, and Logistics.

Responsibilities

  • Frequent interface with key OEM customers to provide turnkey manufacturing services.
  • Drive day-to-day production planning, material readiness, shortages prevention, order fulfillment, and quality control.
  • Coordinate tasks of cross-functional teams from Sales, Production, Product Management, and Purchasing to deliver products and solutions.
  • Assist engineering programs including NPI, FAI and ECO-related scheduling and material planning.
  • Analyze forecast demands and maintain material schedules to mitigate shortages and ensure fast order fulfilments.
  • Plan end-of-life product schedules and post-sale service requirements; prevent obsolescence issues.
  • Identify and develop business models and process improvements across supply chain and product lifecycle.
  • Handle special projects as assigned.
