Job summary

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems seeks a Staff Production Planner and Scheduler in Clearfield, Utah. You will plan and control production schedules, coordinate with material requirements, and ensure smooth flow of components to meet production needs.

Requirements include a Bachelor’s or higher in relevant fields with 12+ years of experience, MS Office proficiency, and an active Secret clearance. Experience with MRP/ERP and Solumina is preferred.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or higher in business, logistics, industrial engineering or related field with extensive production control experience.
  • Experience or formal education may be substituted on a 1:1 basis for degree requirements depending on years of applicable work.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with MRP/ERP systems is required.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, prepare, issue and control production schedules to meet requirements.
  • Coordinate with material requirements, manage shop loads and inventory, and issue work orders.
  • Advise management on status of work in progress, material availability and problems.
  • Collaborate across QA, manufacturing, purchasing, engineering, and logistics to expedite parts.

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Staff Production Planner and Scheduler to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Clearfield, Utah.

Plans, prepares, issues and controls production schedules and coordinates with material requirements to ensure a controlled flow of approved materials timed to meet production requirements. Advises management of the status of work in progress, material availability, and potential production problems to ensure that personnel, equipment, materials and services are provided as needed. Schedules equipment and personnel, confirms material supply and demands, prepares work orders or purchase requests for the production or purchase of components or parts based on a master production schedule, shop load and inventory requirements. Coordinates interdepartmental activity with quality assurance, manufacturing, purchasing, engineering, inventory control, traffic, etc.; schedules and expedites the movement of parts by means of move orders, stock transfers and requests for shipping orders.

Basic Qualifications Level 5 (Staff):
  • Bachelor's Degree and 12+ years of experience in Business, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, or manufacturing and/or production control
  • or Master's Degree and 10+ years in Business, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, or PhD and 8+ years in Business, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, or manufacturing and/or production control
  • In lieu of degree, 16 years of experience in Business, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, or manufacturing and/or production control may be accepted
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Active U.S Government security clearance at the Secret level
  • Ability to obtain Special Program Access
  • Production scheduling experience
  • MRP/ERP experience
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Material planning experience
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience with Manufacturing Execution System (Solumina)

Primary Level Salary Range: $126,400.00 - $189,600.00 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.

In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
