Job summary

GM Motorsports is seeking a Staff Product Owner to lead the strategy, roadmap, and delivery of data and analytics products across NASCAR, IndyCar, and related programs. You will partner with data science and data engineering teams and act as scrum lead.

The role requires extensive product ownership experience, strong stakeholder management, and the ability to translate complex requirements into actionable features while guiding cross-functional partners to timely, high-quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• 8+ years experience in product management/ownership roles.
• Experience delivering digital/data products in an Agile environment.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and prioritise complex backlogs.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, and strategic thinking.

Responsibilities

• Own and maintain the product vision, roadmap, and backlog for motorsports analytics.
• Serve as Scrum lead for data science and data engineering teams.
• Translate complex requirements into clear, implementable features and experiments.
• Define KPIs, measure adoption, and iterate roadmap based on data and feedback.
• Communicate strategy, risks, and status to senior leadership and delivery teams.
