Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years of product management experience, including direct ownership of search or ranking systems, ideally at a marketplace or e-commerce company.
• Strong prioritization instincts — a track record of identifying the highest-impact opportunities and sequencing them, balancing near-term wins against longer-term technical investment.
• Technical fluency — comfortable engaging with technical white papers and holding informed conversations with engineering and data science counterparts, even while relying on them to drive execution.
• Execution rigor across complex, multi-dependency work.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a strategy that elevates the search experience through ranking algorithmic iterations.
• Own an analytically grounded, clearly prioritized product roadmap connected to business outcomes.
• Direct the analytical work of the pod alongside a dedicated strategy & analytics partner — identifying novel opportunities, diagnosing root causes of failure modes, and translating findings into actionable insight.
• Determine the right sequencing of opportunities, balancing technical or foundational work that unlocks future gains against near-term order volume delivery.
• Define and refine metrics that give the team a clear picture of Search Ranking performance and the retailer experience.
• Build trusted partnerships across ML Platform, Discovery Infrastructure, and adjacent Search teams while managing bandwidth and delivering on shared goals.
• Represent the team's strategy and progress to leadership.
