About this role

In this pivotal role, you will set the strategic vision for Coursera's search experience across our diverse product suite by working collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure a seamless, personalized and ML/AI driven learner experience. The best candidates are extremely handson, obsessed with the learner journey, and opinionated about how AI can make finding the right course, credential, or skill path effortless for a global, multilingual audience.

About your skills

You've built consumer products at scale - ideally highintent search or marketplace experiences and deeply understand what makes discovery intuitive, trustworthy, and indispensable. You've shipped experiences people love and return to. You bring an "owner" mindset: biased toward action, a great collaborator, a master simplifier, and someone who pushes towards clarity and delivery. You are user-first, understand and speak in terms of user value propositions, and creatively inspire users to try the product. You hold a high bar across the board - from your own contributions to the people you work with, to the products you work on.

  • Employ rapid experimentation techniques to understand evolving market trends, user behaviors, and potential opportunities
  • Utilize market trends and competitor analysis to identify opportunities for revenue growth and innovative ways to personalize the learner experience
  • Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of conversion and merchandising efforts to make data-driven recommendations for continuous improvement
  • Work closely with Marketing and other Product teams to align conversion strategies with overall business objectives and revenue targets

  • Experience using a combination of quantitative (A/B testing and multivariate experimentation) as well as qualitative research methods to prioritize and validate ideas
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and inspire cross-functional teams through communication and collaboration
  • Direct experience in scaling platform-level capabilities that serve multiple use cases * 4+ years in a product team at a large ecommerce company (preferred)
