Skylight is a fully remote U.S. based digital consultancy working with federal agencies to deliver enterprise platforms and digital services. The Staff Product Manager role requires guiding discovery to production, coordinating cross‑functional teams, and shaping a scalable product strategy for public‑sector customers. You'll navigate ambiguous requirements, enable rapid prototyping, and drive adoption of shared services and modern architectures.

Formación

• Understand lean product principles and how to apply them (e.g., minimum viable product) at various stages of the product life cycle to mitigate risk, validate assumptions, and amplify learning
• Develop a product strategy informed by the problem to be solved, prioritize outcomes over features, and set long-term direction with success criteria
• Execute the product strategy by breaking down scope into value chunks, maintain a prioritized backlog with validated user stories, and facilitate ceremonies
• Engage in human-centered design to better inform product direction and collaborate with researchers, designers, engineers, and others to get things done

Responsabilidades

• Help federal stakeholders align and make decisions
• Build and own the roadmap for digital services, from first prototype to a products HHS & Divisions rely on
• Work through technical decisions with engineers
• Translate leadership and government partner needs into a product vision, objectives, and measures of success
• Ship early prototypes, gather feedback, and iterate quickly rather than waiting for complete requirements
• Write user stories, prioritize the backlog, and build release plans
