Job summary

Skylight is seeking a Senior Product Manager to lead strategy, planning, and execution for high-visibility federal contracts. You’ll partner with researchers, designers, engineers, and client stakeholders to shape what to build next and why.

You’ll manage a small team of product managers, own a workstream, and drive lean processes across OCIO, HHS, and Skylight leadership. This role is fully remote with federal project exposure.

Qualifications

• Understand lean product principles and MVPs to mitigate risk and validate learning.
• Develop a product strategy with roadmaps and success criteria.
• Break down scope into usable value chunks and maintain a prioritized backlog.
• Apply human-centered design to inform product direction.
• Collaborate with researchers, designers, engineers, and clients to get things done.

Responsibilities

• Take in OCIO requests, uncover real needs, and shape them into scoped work.
• Build intake, planning, and team rhythms to speed delivery with minimal overhead.
• Own a product workstream and translate needs into a vision and backlog.
• Partner with leadership as priorities shift; know when to push back and commit.
• Develop strong relationships with direct reports and mentor their growth.
• Coach individuals through growth, feedback, and day-to-day challenges.
