Overview

Join the Intuit Platform and Development Xcceleration (PDX) group as a Staff Product Manager. The Intuit PDX group builds foundational capabilities that developers across Intuit rely on to build and run flagship applications using cloud native technologies in a highly scalable, reliable, and secure manner. Ease of use, scale, and reliability are core attributes of the platforms owned by this organization. We are seeking a high-agency, results-oriented Staff Product Manager with a strong technical foundation and deep expertise spanning both the Product Development Lifecycle (PDLC) and Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC). The ideal candidate is a self-driven leader who operates with minimal oversight, demonstrates unwavering user empathy, and uses rigorous data-driven insight to shape a clear, independent point of view. You must be adept at establishing outcome-focused roadmaps while maintaining the agility to rapidly reprioritize based on shifting organizational demands. As a Staff Product Manager for PDLC Transformation, you will own the end-to-end alignment of Intuit's technical operating system—bridging the gap from top-level company goals down to day-to-day software delivery at the execution level. This high-impact role requires navigating tough cross-organizational stakeholder landscapes, defending clear boundary lines with leadership when necessary, and demonstrating best-in-class judgment when embedding AI tools directly into the product management craft to accelerate enterprise execution velocity.

Responsibilities
  • Outcome-Focused Roadmapping & Execution: Formulate and drive a comprehensive,outcome-focused roadmap mapped directly to explicit success metrics.
  • Seamlessly connect high-level company strategy down to execution-level tracking to ensure a single, canonical plan-of-record.
  • Agile Reprioritization & Capacity Triage: Dynamically adapt and rapidly reprioritize product backlogs and platform capabilities based on real-time business demands, engineering constraints, and capacity gaps without losing momentum.
  • Deep User Discovery & Empathy: Consistently demonstrate customer and developer empathy. Lead structured research, deep user interviews, and "Follow-Me-Home" discovery sessions to uncover friction points and translate them into data-driven requirements.
  • Stakeholder Alignment & Boundary Management: Manage complex, demanding stakeholder relationships across product and engineering lines.
  • Effectively de-escalate friction, align contributors who feed into the platform, and bring an independent, objective point of view that challenges assumptions rather than defaulting to being a "yes person" for leadership.
  • Dual-Audience Communication & Influence: Command room presence and convey complex platform product strategies with equal clarity when presenting high-level vision to senior executives or technical implementation depth to developer communities.
  • Autonomous Execution: Operate as a fully self-directed leader with high agency, managing large-scale cross-functional initiatives and product tracks with minimal management oversight.
  • Advanced AI Product Tooling: Establish and scale best practices for safely incorporating generative AI tools into the product management lifecycle to synthesize user discovery, run automated scenario modeling, and accelerate documentation.
Qualifications
  • 10 or more years of technical product management experience with a dedicated focus on developer platforms, shared enterprise services, work portfolio tooling, or complex enterprise PDLC/SDLC ecosystems.
  • End-to-End PDLC/SDLC Expertise: Proven capability managing the full lifecycle of product development, showing explicit expertise in translating high-level enterprise business goals down to highly detailed execution structures (including software delivery tracking systems at the user story level).
  • Data-Driven Discovery & Validation: A proven track record of using quantitative data (e.g., system velocity, throughput, usage friction metrics) combined with qualitative research to drive high-integrity functional documentation, decision logs, and roadmaps.
  • Enterprise Change Management & Influence: Experience driving internal organizational adoption of tools or operating models across massive, resistant user bases, with a demonstrated ability to negotiate trade-offs and handle challenging stakeholder pushback.
  • Technical Fluency & Prototyping: Strong technical background with an understanding of tool integrations, database schemas, and system interoperability.
  • Hands-on experience utilizing modern AI tools for rapid prototyping and mockups to accelerate alignment is preferred.
  • Certifications: Project Management Professional (PMP) certification and/or Agile SCRUM Product Owner (CSPO) certification is highly preferred to ensure strong foundational alignment on execution frameworks.
  • Education: Undergraduate degree in computer science, computer/software engineering, or a related technical/operational discipline required. Master of Business Administration (MBA) is highly preferred.
