Job summary

Skydio is seeking a Staff Product Manager, Telecommunications, to lead telecom partnerships ensuring reliable in-flight connectivity for Skydio drones worldwide. This office-based role requires 5 days a week onsite at our San Mateo HQ, California.

You will develop carrier engagement strategies, negotiate agreements, and build scalable connectivity models to support customers and events while aligning with regulatory and carrier certification priorities.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to translate customer needs into priorities and drive implementation.
• Break down complex processes into actionable steps and communicate how each step moves the project forward.
• Strong analytical skills to problem solve and optimize partnerships.
• Engineering/technical background or degree demonstrating technical proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Develop strategy for engaging with telecom carriers in the US, North America, and beyond.
• Negotiate agreements with telecom carriers to enable network access and data connectivity.
• Build business models for in-flight data access and monitor usage and costs.
• Set carrier certification priorities to meet regulators and operators.
• Foster field relationships between telecom partners and Skydio field teams for major events.
• Support customers and major incidents as part of mission success.
