Job summary

The Trade Desk is seeking a Staff Product Manager to own a key reporting domain. You will drive a multi‑year strategy for data exploration, visualization surfaces, and AI‑powered insights, partnering with engineering and data science to deliver scalable, trusted data products.

You will lead cross‑functional teams to align stakeholders, shape the platform, and ensure data quality and speed in a high‑scale environment that supports advertisers and agencies globally.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of product management experience building products at scale, ideally in ad tech, programmatic advertising, or a data‑intensive B2B SaaS environment.
• Strong track record building data products—query and reporting tools, dashboards, APIs, insights surfaces, or scheduled delivery.
• Technical fluency; ability to work with engineering on architecture, data pipelines, APIs, and data models.
• Exceptional product taste and judgment; high standards for quality and user experience.
• User empathy as a practice; you spend time with customers and validate problems and solutions.
• Bias toward shipping; you move with urgency and protect scope to maximize value.

Responsibilities

• Define and own the multi‑year product strategy for reporting experiences, including data exploration, visualization, delivery, insights, and AI‑powered interfaces.
• Identify and prioritize white‑space opportunities across the reporting and analytics landscape.
• Set strategic direction for reporting at scale, ensuring data transparency and open interfaces that create differentiated value.
• Define AI‑native reporting interfaces and workflows that deliver genuine user value.
• Build the business case for reporting investments with executive alignment and resource planning.
• Own end‑to‑end product vision for reporting infrastructure: data exploration, dashboards, APIs, and cloud delivery.
• Collaborate with engineering and data science on platform architecture for performance and scalability.
• Lead data collaboration capabilities, including log‑level data sharing and partner integrations.
