Job summary

Walmart seeks a Staff Product Manager – Privacy Products to join the Customer Data & Identity team in Sunnyvale. You will shape privacy-focused data products and govern data platforms across Walmart US and Growth studios, collaborating with Marketing, Walmart Connect, Data Ventures, and Walmart+.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience in product management.
  • Experience building 0 to 1 platform products in user data management space.
  • Privacy-focused product building experiences such as transparency, consent management, and data governance products.
  • Privacy certifications are a plus (CIPP/US, CIPP/E, CIPT, CIPM, ISO).
  • Quantitative or technical background preferred.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and MS Project.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and execution of data governance-focused product strategy.
  • Define and communicate privacy-centric prioritization and timelines for platform engineering teams.
  • Collaborate with privacy engineering and other CDP teams to build privacy-improving data solutions.
  • Ensure tools are scaled to support privacy needs of internal revenue teams (Walmart Connect, Data Ventures, Walmart+).
  • Define and track KPIs to measure product success.
  • Stay updated on privacy, data protection, and compliance trends.

Our team collaborates with engineering, design,legaland business teams within WalmartUS and Walmart Growth organizationssuch as Walmart +, Data Ventures,Marketingand Walmart Connect, to create a holistic and consistent digital view of customers’ relationship with Walmart. We are seeking aStaffProduct Manager– PrivacyProductsto jointhe CustomerData& Identityteam to advance the way we empower internal teams with best-in-class customer data products andplatformat scale.This role is designed for an individual contributor whocangiveshape toambiguous and complexchallenges and has a keen interest in data privacy. You will play a critical role in our team, focusing on the development and execution of privacyand data governance-focused productsuits. You will work closely with teams such as Marketing, Walmart Connect, Data Ventures, and Walmart+ to extend our Customer Data Platformofferings in a privacy compliant way.

What you’ll do:

  • Leading the development and execution ofdata governance-focused product strategy.
  • Defining and communicating privacy-centricproductprioritization, and timelines for thecustomerprivacyplatformengineering team.
  • Defining clear product requirements collaborating with privacy engineering team and other Customer Data Platform teams to build privacy-improving data solutions
  • Ensuring tools are built and scaled to support the privacy needs of internalrevenueteams, such asWalmart Connect, Data Ventures, Walmart+, andMarkweting.
  • Defining and tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure product success.
  • Staying updated on industry trends and advancements in customer privacy, data protection, and compliance.
  • Driving innovation within the customer data platform while ensuring compliance with privacy regulations.Re-imagining how tocomply withprivacy regulations user’s data subject rights

What you’ll bring:

  • 7+yearsofexperienceinproductmanagement, including proven experience in developing and executing successful product roadmaps and initiatives.
  • Experience in building 0 to 1 platform products in user data management space.
  • Privacy-focusedproduct buildingexperiencesuch as building user-facingtransparency products,preferenceand consentmanagement systemsor data governance products.
  • Privacy certifications (ex. CIPP/US, CIPP/E, CIPT, CIPM, ISO)isa plus.
  • Quantitative or technical background preferred.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies andMSproject management tools.
  • Solid understanding of emergingtechnologiesandindustrytrends inretailand e-commspace.
  • Demonstrated ability to think clearly, analyze quantitatively, problem solve, scope technical requirements, and prioritize.
  • You are an excellent communicator and presenter.
  • You have domain knowledge in Customer Data Platforms or data governance products.
  • You are passionate about tackling complex challenges.
  • You can influence and build consensus across various stakeholders.
  • You have a strong ability to craft credible vision and strategy.
  • You have experience in a Fortune 500 company.
  • You are comfortable working in complex and matrixed organizations.
  • You have a proventrack recordof leading cross-functional teams and driving large-scale projects to completion.
