Job description

Our mission at Robinhood is to democratize finance for all. An estimated $124 trillion of assets will be inherited by younger generations over the next two decades—representing the largest transfer of wealth in human history.

Robinhood's Money and Banking team designs and scales the next generation of consumer financial products that help millions of customers manage and grow their daily funds. From our Gold card to core banking services, early wage access, and cash deposit innovations, our goal is to transition users from brokerage accounts to making Robinhood their primary banking institution.

As Staff Product Manager, Money, you will guide the strategy, roadmap, and execution of our consumer-facing banking experience from early concepts through massive scale. You will own product-led growth initiatives focused on core funding metrics—such as funded account creation, direct deposit enrollment, and churn reduction. Partnering closely with Engineering, Design, Data Science, Legal, Compliance, and Finance, you will lead zero-to-one consumer features that build a secure, highly regulated, and trusted spending platform.

Key Responsibilities
  • Product Vision & Roadmap Strategy: Define and execute the product vision and multi-quarter strategic roadmap for Robinhood's consumer money and spending ecosystem.
  • Consumer Banking Execution: Lead cross-functional pods (Engineering, Product Design, Research, Data Science, Operations) to build, launch, and scale consumer banking features, including direct deposit, early wage access, and cash deposit methods.
  • Product-Led Growth & Funnel Optimization: Own critical business growth metrics—driving funded account conversion, increasing lifetime value (LTV), improving direct deposit adoption, and reducing user churn.
  • Regulatory & Compliance Collaboration: Partner with Legal, Compliance, Risk, and Finance teams to ensure all banking, deposit, and money movement capabilities adhere strictly to financial regulations and security standards.
  • End-to-End Ownership: Drive end-to-end product delivery from discovery and technical spec definition through launch, experiment analysis, and post-launch iteration.
  • Executive Stakeholder Alignment: Establish clear OKRs, articulate strategic trade-offs, and align executive leadership and partner teams behind shared priorities.
Requirements
Product Management & Consumer Banking Depth
  • Direct PM Experience: 5+ years of direct product management experience building high-quality consumer products (7+ years strongly preferred).
  • Consumer Growth & Analytical Mastery: Superb product intuition, deep data fluency, and a proven track record of optimizing consumer conversion funnels and retention loops.
  • Zero-to-One Delivery: Demonstrated success guiding complex consumer software products from initial concept and hypothesis testing through production launch and hyperscale.
  • High Velocity & Ambiguity: Exception stelle sense of speed, execution urgency, and organizational discipline to balance competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Cross-Functional Influence: Outstanding written and verbal communication skills to lead cross-functional pods and present clear strategic narratives to senior leadership.
Location & Hybrid Work Logistics
  • Ability to work in-person at least 3 days per week out of Robinhood's Menlo Park, CA; New York City, NY; or Washington, DC office hubs.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Direct domain experience within fintech, consumer banking, money movement, neobanking, card products, or regulated financial services.
  • Hands-on experience working directly with financial compliance frameworks, bank partner integrations, or payment networks (ACH, card rails).
Total Rewards & Benefits
  • Compensation & Equity: Zone-based base salary ($150,000 – $225,000 USD) + performance-driven bonus opportunities + equity grants + 401(k) company match.
  • Comprehensive Healthcare: 100% employer-paid health insurance premiums for employees (90% coverage for dependents), plus dedicated mental health support and lifetime fertility/family-forming benefits.
  • Lifestyle Wallet: Annual flexible spending account for personal wellness, continuous learning, and lifestyle enrichment.
  • In-Office Perks & Time Off: On-site catered meals, fully stocked kitchens, geo-specific commuter benefits, paid time off, company holidays, paid sick time, and parental leave.
