Job summary

DigitalOcean is seeking a Staff Product Manager for Compute Platform to own the strategy and roadmap for App Platform, Serverless Functions, and DOCR. You’ll balance developer experience with platform economics, guiding architecture, pricing, and capacity decisions across global teams.

You’ll partner with engineering, finance, and GTM to drive launches, define success metrics, and optimize cost-to-serve while delivering simple, scalable cloud compute for developers worldwide.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of product management experience defining and launching managed cloud compute, PaaS, serverless, or container products.
• Strong working knowledge of PaaS, serverless, and container registry models.
• Understanding of CPU architectures (Intel/AMD/ARM), virtualization, and container runtimes.
• Ability to specify APIs, CLIs, and console flows with a developer-friendly UX.

Responsibilities

• Own the vision, strategy, and roadmap for App Platform, Serverless Functions, and DOCR.
• Define platform economics and cost-to-serve models for compute workloads.
• Translate tech trends into platform decisions like sizing, runtimes, and price tiers.
• Define end-to-end developer journeys from source to deployed, autoscaled apps/functions.
• Run discovery with customers and partners to derive jobs-to-be-done and acceptance criteria.
• Lead launches with GTM, docs, and support, and own post-GA adoption and margin.
