Job summary

DigitalOcean is seeking a Staff Product Manager for Compute Platform to own the strategy and roadmap for App Platform, Serverless Functions, and DOCR. You will balance developer experience with platform economics, guiding architecture tradeoffs and pricing strategy while collaborating across global teams.

You will lead end-to-end launches, work with engineering, finance, and GTM, and drive adoption, activation, and margin for managed compute services.

Qualifications

8+ years of product management experience in cloud compute or PaaS.
Experience owning both customer experience and unit economics.
Knowledge of CPU architectures, virtualization, and container runtimes.
Ability to define APIs, CLIs, and developer flows that feel simple.

Responsibilities

Own the vision, strategy, and roadmap for App Platform, Serverless Functions, and DOCR.
Define platform economics and cost-to-serve models for services.
Drive utilization, density, and bin-packing with eng and finance.
Define end-to-end developer journey from source to deployed app/function.
Run discovery with developers and SMB teams to derive jobs-to-be-done and acceptance criteria.
Own packaging and pricing for platform services and how they attach to other products.
Partner with engineering on architecture tradeoffs in control and data planes.
Drive performance, reliability, and efficiency with clear SLOs and cost targets.
Monitor competitive landscape and differentiate on simplicity and price/performance.
Lead launches end to end with GTM and measure post-GA adoption and margin.
