Job summary

Stripe is seeking a Staff Product Manager for Accounting Products to own a major product area, define strategy and roadmaps, and partner with Finance, Engineering, Design, Data Science, and GTM teams. You will drive adoption, ensure accuracy of financial results, and enable automation within Revenue Recognition for Stripe Billing and Metronome users.

This role requires ownership, autonomy, and influence across multiple disciplines. In-office collaboration is expected in this senior role.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of product management experience delivering complex, domain-intensive products.
• Experience building products for finance, accounting, or similarly demanding domains.
• Strong customer instincts and experience translating domain complexity into coherent products.
• Strong strategic judgment and experience taking products from ambiguity to execution.
• Excellent written and verbal communication across technical and business teams.

Responsibilities

• Define a focused product strategy, initial market, and roadmap with clear tradeoffs.
• Collaborate with controllers, accountants, finance leaders, auditors, and partners to map workflows to product requirements.
• Define how humans and agents configure accounting policies and ensure auditability.
• Shape Revenue Recognition for Stripe Billing and Metronome users, including complex pricing models.
• Scale products from prototype to company-wide adoption with appropriate integrations and governance.
• Align stakeholders across Billing, Metronome, Tax, Payments, and other teams for consistent financial results.
