Job summary

Instrumentl’s Staff Product Designer will own GrantOS, the foundational layer used by Platform, Core, and enterprise surfaces. You’ll define data models, permissions, and interaction patterns that guide multiple teams, shaping how grant professionals experience Instrumentl as a system rather than a collection of features.

You will lead end-to-end design in genuinely greenfield spaces, write briefs, frame problems, and set roadmap direction in partnership with your PM, while mentoring peers to

Qualifications

• 10+ years of product design experience at staff or principal level, owning domains rather than features
• Proven end-to-end ownership of a platform or core product area in complex B2B/enterprise SaaS
• Shipped net-new product work alongside platform work
• Deep involvement in user research from planning to synthesis
• Experience designing agentic or AI-powered product surfaces

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end design for GrantOS across Platform, Core, and enterprise
• Define data relationships, permission models, and integration surfaces
• Set interaction patterns and design system foundations for other teams
• Shape cross-pod connections to make workflows smarter
