Job summary

Learning Commons seeks a Staff Product Designer in Redwood City to own developer experience end-to-end. You will shape how developers integrate with our platform, lead cross-functional design work across the platform, and raise the craft standard through mentorship and system-wide pattern adoption.

You will work in a hybrid setting at our Redwood City HQ, collaborating with engineers, product managers, and researchers to extend the dataset catalog and improve access to the AI-powered education

Qualifications

• At least 8 years of professional experience.
• Strong visual craft combined with product thinking and brand expression in the product.
• Experience closing the loop with design systems so recommendations land in the system.
• A track record of owning an entire product or platform in production, setting direction and balancing value/risk.
• Strong systems instincts and technical depth: permissions, organization models, multi-surface navigation, reading API references, engineering constraints.
• Comfort with AI-native working methods, including prototyping in code and validating early.

Responsibilities

• Own developer experience end to end, forming a view on sustained use through research, usage data, and partner contact, and translate into a roadmap.
• Design developer integration views from scratch to give developers visibility into integration performance across usage, quality, errors, and impact.
• Lead systematic design work across platform, catalog, docs, and marketing surfaces, establishing patterns and information architecture.
• Extend the dataset catalog and access experience with new features, richer discovery, and the permission/organization models underneath.
• Set the craft bar for the team, mentor designers, collaborate with the design systems lead to propagate patterns, and review work.
