Job summary

Mysten Labs is seeking a Staff Product Designer to set the experience strategy for the DeepBook financial stack and first-party products across spot trading, margin, liquidity, and on-chain finance on Sui. You will lead design from strategy to launch and build a capable design team.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of product design experience in fast-moving teams.
• Portfolio shows craft and leadership across complex, data-dense products.
• Experience designing trading/fintech/crypto products with high-stakes decisions.
• Fluency in DeFi and on-chain concepts (swaps, liquidity, settlement).

Responsibilities

• Set the design vision and priorities with product, engineering, and leadership.
• Own end-to-end experience across DeepBook and first-party applications.
• Lead core journeys: onboarding, funding, market discovery, order entry, risk and settlement.
• Design for diverse audiences: retail traders, institutions, and developers.
• Remain hands-on while guiding through prototyping, testing, and review.
• Build scalable design system for dense financial data, charts, tables, and alerts.
• Establish research program using interviews, usability studies, and analytics.
• Collaborate with legal, security, marketing, and ecosystem teams.
• Define quality measures and link work to activation and retention.
