Job summary

Zip in San Francisco is seeking a Product Designer to own AI platform features from concept to launch. You’ll collaborate across engineering, PMs, and customer teams to craft consumer-grade experiences for complex enterprise workflows.

You’ll have access to users for UX research, iterate quickly on designs, and help shape how AI integrates across the product. This hybrid role requires in-office presence in SF three days per week.

Qualifications

• 8+ years professional design experience at a startup or resource‑restricted org.
• Experience shipping AI products end to end as lead designer.
• Iterating with engineers and team members on both visual and UX details.
• Strong presentation, collaboration and communication skills.
• Empathetic champion for users and customers.
• Strong visual design without sacrificing usability.
• Understanding of technical constraints of building web apps.
• Experience building with AI tools in workflow, prototyping with Claude, Figma Make, Cursor, etc.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design of AI platform features from concept to launch.
• Define how AI permeates the app and is integrated where it matters most.
• Partner with engineers, PMs and GTM stakeholders to brainstorm, define, and implement new features.
• Collaborate with product and customer-facing teams for UX Research and thoughtful solutions.
• Iterate quickly on designs based on user feedback.
• Lead regular design reviews with the broader AI team.
• Work with product designers across the org to understand team needs.
