Job summary

Affirm is seeking an experienced Staff Product Designer to shape how users interact with AI-powered, agentic experiences. You’ll help define when and how AI enhances consumer moments and partner with Product to set a successful roadmap.

The role focuses on a hybrid search and discovery interface, balancing traditional UI efficiency with AI-driven discovery, and unifying the vision for AI across consumer touchpoints.

Qualifications

• Experience designing AI-driven, agentic, or conversational interfaces.
• Prototyping non-linear, multi-modal flows for AI interactions.
• Understanding of trust, transparency, and explainability in AI.
• Experience with financial product design is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own and drive AI and agentic design initiatives for Affirm’s consumer experience.
• Design intuitive, conversational and agentic patterns that feel proactive.
• Define the design language for AI-driven interactions with a focus on trust.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, data science, marketing and research.
• Iterate quickly, test ideas, and balance vision with data-driven decisions.
• Ensure scalable and coherent UX across the Affirm ecosystem.
• Challenge the status quo and push for meaningful innovation in financial products.
• Craft polished experiences with strong visual and interaction design.
• Leverage experiments and analytics to refine user experiences.
