Job summary

Affirm is reinventing credit to make it more honest and friendly, giving consumers flexibility to buy now and pay later without hidden fees. We are hiring a Staff Product Designer to lead AI-driven experiences and shape how consumers interact with Affirm through agentic solutions.

You will partner with Product to define a roadmap for success and build a hybrid search and discovery interface balancing traditional UI with AI-powered discovery.

Qualifications

• AI-driven, agentic, or conversational UI design experience.
• Advanced prototyping of multi-modal user flows.
• Understanding of human-centered AI principles and explainability.
• Experience designing for high-stakes consumer financial products.

Responsibilities

• Own and drive AI and agentic design initiatives for affirm’s consumer experience.
• Design intuitive, conversational, and agentic patterns that feel proactive.
• Define the design language for AI-driven interactions with trust and clarity.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with product, engineering, data science, marketing, and research.
• Iterate quickly with agility while maintaining a long-term vision for the ecosystem.
• Ensure scalability and coherence across the Affirm ecosystem.
• Push boundaries to drive innovation in financial products.
• Craft polished visual and interaction design delivering trust and confidence.
• Champion a test-and-learn mindset using research and analytics.
