About EquipmentShare

EquipmentShare is hiring a Staff Product Designer. You will advocate for users of our products and collaborate with the Design team. This role requires a systems-level design thinker with strong instincts, informed by user insights. You will partner with Product and model best practices as a player-coach.

Primary Responsibilities
  1. Lead end-to-end creative delivery for complex design and technical problems across multiple products.
  2. Act as a role model within Design, developing work and mentoring others.
  3. Partner with product, engineering, and designers to discover and deliver solutions, decoupling complex dependencies.
  4. Lead strategic alignment and shape UX disciplines, methods, and processes.
  5. Set standards for design excellence and create scalable best practices.
  6. Synthesize customer, market, and business data to inform strategy.
  7. Lead cross-organizational design reviews and influence outcomes.
  8. Manage escalations and define measurable results.
  9. Drive solutions for complex problems, making trade-offs between customer needs and business goals.
  10. Understand tech systems and external dependencies, identifying tech investments to unlock innovation.

About You

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Design, HCI, CS, or related field or equivalent experience
  • 10+ years in product design or UX
  • 5+ years leading design projects or teams
  • 3+ years working with executive leadership
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in relevant fields
  • 7+ years in complex, cross-functional organizations
  • Experience in Construction or Fleet Management industries
  • Portfolio of multiple projects with contributions
