Job summary

Google is seeking a Data Scientist/Analytics Engineer to support Workspace products used by billions. You will partner with product and engineering teams to translate data into actionable insights, build metric frameworks, and influence product decisions with rigorous analysis.

The role emphasizes designing scalable data models, creating self-serve analytics, and communicating findings to stakeholders across Engineering and Product Management.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field.
10 years of analytics or 8+ with Master's; includes statistical analysis and coding.
8 years in core product analytics (engagement metrics, funnel analysis, A/B testing).
8 years in data modeling and semantic layer design.
Experience operating distributed data processing engines.

Responsibilities

Lead metric frameworks and methodologies for evaluating AI tooling in Workspace.
Collaborate with product engineering and data infrastructure teams on telemetry and projects.
Design scalable data models and analytics architecture across product domains.
Create self-serve analytics by building semantic layers, metric stores, and dashboards.
