Job summary

Ford Motor Company in Long Beach is seeking a leadership-level engineer to develop traction inverters for electric vehicle applications. You will design, debug and validate schematics and PCB layouts, perform thermal and control analyses, and collaborate across engineering and supply chain functions.

The role requires a BS in EE, 2+ years in power electronics, hands-on testing, and familiarity with IGBT/MOSFETs. Hybrid work model and strong career growth are offered.

• 2+ years in power electronics product development.
• Hands-on schematic capture and circuit simulation/analysis tools.
• Hands-on PCB layout for signal integrity and manufacturability.
• Experience with high voltage power electronics testing and validation.
• Familiar with IGBT, MOSFET devices and power modules.

What you'll do...

You'll have...

• Bachelors of Science in Electrical Engineering or equivalent combination of relevant education and experience.
• 2+ years of experience in power electronics product development
• Hands-on experience of schematic capture and circuit simulation & analysis tools.
• Hands-on experience of PCB layout for better signal integrity and manufacturability
• Hands-on experience with high voltage power electronics testing and validation.
• Familiar with IGBT, MOSFET etc. devices and power modules

Even better, you may have...

• Experience with EMI troubleshooting
• Familiar with three phase inverters and motor control
• Experience with safety-critical automotive hardware development
• Familiar with industry standards and regulatory requirements for power electronics products.

This position is leadership level 6 and ranges from $150,200-$283,500.

Final determination of salary grade will be based on candidate's skills and experience, and base salary will be set within the applicable range according to job scope, responsibility and competitive market value.
