Job summary

Cockroach Labs is seeking a Staff Product Marketing Manager to own the Onboard & Build stage of the customer lifecycle, shaping messaging and enablement for developers as they evaluate CockroachDB and move toward production.

You will oversee Activation to Collaboration, Data Onboarding & Enablement, Developer Experiences, and Programmability & Extensibility, ensuring a single, coherent story across four journeys and driving launches, field readiness, and proof points.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in product marketing for technical products.
• Strong ability to communicate with developers and PMs about distributed systems and databases.
• Fluency in AI-native developer tools and workflows.
• Clear, opinionated point of view with evidence-based messaging.
• Bias for concise, decision-ready output and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Own positioning and messaging for the Onboard & Build stage.
• Develop a messaging house, value propositions, and proof points.
• Lead launches and GTM activities with field enablement.
• Collaborate with PMs, Eng, DevRel, and content teams to translate roadmap into market-ready stories.
• Drive developer-focused content, case studies, and enablement materials.
