Job summary

Celestica is seeking a Staff Engineer, Hardware Design (PLM) in Austin, TX to lead PLM operations across New Product Introduction for hyperscale hardware. You will optimize PLM-CAD workflows, ensure data integrity, and collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain to mature BOMs and enable rapid design-to-production transitions.

You will work with cross-functional teams to streamline engineering changes, maintain CAD-PLM data flow to ERP, and explore AI-driven process automation.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in a PLM/PDM engineering data management, configuration management, or product structure role.
• Strong technical understanding of CAD tools and their integration with PLM and ERP systems.
• Experience with CAD data migration and legacy product data restructuring into modern PLM environments.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001, FDA, AS9100 compliance and quality standards.
• Demonstrated success driving engineering process improvements and design collaboration workflows.

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical administration and optimization of the PLM platform (Teamcenter/ Windchill/ Arena/ Agile/ Enovia).
• Manage Engineering Change Requests (ECRs), ECOs, and DCOs to ensure timely approvals.
• Create, structure and maintain complex BOMs and item master data across PLM and ERP.
• Analyze and resolve complex technical product data issues and support release cycles.
• Train cross-functional users on PLM best practices and SOPs.
• Audit system data for accuracy, regulatory compliance, and revision control.
• Partner with design, systems and hardware engineering to deepen CAD-PLM integration and AI-enabled automation.
